Entry level Personal 3D Printer launched at CES 2012

Dubbed the “Cube” its priced at US$1,299 its ready to print right out of the box in a wide range of vibrant colors. This affordable, color 3D printer is the first in its category to print real ABS plastic 3D creations at home.

The Cube™ printer is packed with consumer friendly features. It’s print ready out of the box, fits into any room in the house and at less than 4Kg, its extremely portable as well. The EZ Load cartridge offers hours of 3D printing enjoyment for consumers, in a rainbow of compelling colors and immediate access to 50 free printable creations. The Cube™ printer comes with a membership to Cubify.com, the ultimate online 3D destination for consumers, artists and developers which will compete against the thingiverse community developed by Makerbot as well as Shapeways as it allows you to charge people to download your models.

The company plans to fully commercialize the Cube™ personal 3D printer during the first half of 2012. It will retail for $1300 USD and material cartridges are anticipated to be $50 USD.
