3D Printing Organs for Medical Use

Dr. Gabor Forgacs is a University of Missouri researcher that hopes to use 3D Printing as regenerative medicine in the future. Gabor is also the Scientific Founder and Chief Scientist of Organovo. Organovo is hoping to produce the worlds first 3D Printer capable of printing human organs. There are always more transplant recipients in need than organ donors and this technology could help save lives all over the world. Another benefits to this system is that a new organ could be printed with the recipients cells so that the chance of rejection would be much lower.
